Wedding Season – Milky Quartz Gemstone

There are many varieties of quartz but the most popular one, Pure Quartz (aka Clear Quartz, Rock Quartz), is colorless and translucent, and has often been used for  hard stone carving. It is similar to glass, but the softness of glass usually lends it to scratches and is rarely cut into small facets ( it usually is not a concern of confusion to other colorless gems such as White Topaz, White Sapphire, or Diamond). Other common colored varieties include citrine, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz and Milky Quartz.

Milky Quartz  (aka Milk Quartz, Snow Quartz or White Quartz) is an excellent gemstone, translucent to opaque, – very hard and durable, used frequently used  to handcraft beautiful jewelry, especily in Europe and Middel East. It is the most common variety of crystalline quartz. The white color is caused by minute fluid inclussion of gas, liquid, or both, trapped during crystal formation.

Milky ( Milk) Quartz is believed to help, promote mental clarity. It has the same healing properties as Pure Quartz but with a gentler effect. It is  a calming stone, which is said to enhance meditation by allowing you to link to deep inner wisdom.
