Red Jade is a variety of Jadeite, one of two distinctly different minerals that share the name Jade.  Nephrite is a calcium magnesium silicate with a smooth surface polish and waxy sheen, usually in shades of white, mid- to deep olive green, brown and black. Jadeite is a sodium aluminum silicate, hard and lustrous, rarer than Nephrite, and usually more expensive. It occurs in various colors, including white-gray green, leafy green, blue or blue-green, emerald green, lavender, pink, red, orange, greenish-black or black. Though they have different compositions, hardnesses, densities and crystal structures, both are exceptionally tough stones, similar in appearance, and equally valuable in metaphysical properties.

Red Jade is an excellent support stone for overcoming self-abuses such as addiction to drugs, alcohol, tobacco or gambling. It gives strength in the face of difficult circumstances and lends the fortitude needed to achieve one’s goal. Red Jade is a stone of luck, carrying a frequency of material prosperity and physical health. It is less suited to long-term prosperity than Green Jade, but is quite beneficial in jump-starting one’s finances when they are low, or in pursuing a promotion, new job or a raise.

Jasper gemstone is a form of chalcedony, usually red, yellow, brown or green. The name means “spotted or speckled stone” and is derived via jaspre (old French) and jaspidem (Latin).

According to the Bible, jasper was a direct gift from God and would be the first foundation stone of the New Jerusalem. Also, both Indians in Asia as well as Native Americans see jasper as a magical rain stone and also a powerful healing stone.

Found worldwide, a wide variety of named jaspers is found in the western areas
of the Unites States; California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Washington.

This stone helps you understand that you can stay committed and determined without exhausting yourself or ruining your health. Generally, you could benefit from the earthy, nourishing essence of jasper if you need more energy, vitality, as well as determination to pursue your goals. Jasper is especially helpful for people who easily burn out. It will help achieve a subtle balance between giving and receiving; and can  teach how to stay balanced and replenish the inner energy resources. It is an earthy stone that warms one’s soul and clears one’s mind.
